Did you have windows installed on the HD. Not understanding why you would use the SSD for acceleration. Or perhaps some startup file was searching for something on the SSD rather than going to the HDD. I decided to disconnect the SSD after muddling around for a while with the system hanging when trying to boot from external installation media thinking that perhaps kernal My original system was accelerated using an SSD prior to installing Preview Edition.

This has been completed many times in the past with no difficulty.įollowing this process, I chose to Defragment the system drive by using the “Deep Defragmenting” option within “Norton Utilities 16” Selected “1- Click Optimization” and allowed the app to run its process. System performance was improved and ran trouble free.Īdditional changes were made when I ran “Norton Utilities 16” “Number of processors” was increased to 10 I was tweaking system settings and made changes to system configuration: I am unable to provide a version number because the system is not bootable to the point where this can be determined.
